more note to assure you that your service in converting 8mm and Super 8
film to DVD is very important and is greatly appreciated.
Last year,
my parents' house in Pascagoula, MS was flooded from floor to ceiling
during Hurricane Katrina and will now have to be destroyed. Had I not
had all of the film converted, we would have lost all of these very
important memories of my parents' early life together and my sister's
and my childhood. As it stands, everyone has a copy of all of the film
and slideshows (that I converted myself) on DVD and they are safely
distributed among the family in different parts of the country.
Your service is invaluable in these cases, and I hope everyone will
see that procrastination in getting their films converted can have
consequences beyond the degradation of the film itself. Losing these
films to Hurricane Katrina would have made the loss my parents already
suffered all that much worse.

"The majority of the film is
60+ years old . . . and I know of at least 30 years that it was stored
in my hot summer, winter-cold attic. . . .
So I quickly raced against time (bulb life) transferring the film to
digital using one of those cheap K-Mart black box converters and my
cheap digital camcorder. Of course the quality of my efforts was
poor. Next, I took the best quality reels of film that I had to a local
professional "Edit Shop" that claimed to specialize in 8 mm film
transfers. After I received their conversion, I mailed you the same
reels so I could compare who did the best quality work. Gail, there was
no comparison. Video Graphics won hands-down for film transfer quality,
and you weren't even more expensive than the local shop.
I am thrilled with the quality of your work. Watching the converted
video is now truly a "priceless" moment that I plan to share with my
family."

knew that I was mistaken about the age. I was 10 years old in these
films and I am now 45 so the film is at least 35 years old. The
quality of the original film must have been terrible to say the least.
You did a magnificent job of restoration. I have to tell you that when
my Mom and sister were watching this they broke down and cried almost
the whole time. You know a lot of the people on this film are no
longer with us and this is probably the only photographic archive of
them. I thank you once again and can say that after viewing this I
know that there is much more film hidden someplace. . . there are many
more films my dad had taken. I hope I can find them so that you can do

result. My wife and I watched the first hour last night, marvelling at how young we
were back then and enjoying the sometimes long-forgotten sights of ourselves, our
families, and people we knew way back in the 60s. Years ago I had made my own
amateurish transfer of film to videotape (by taking movies of images projected onto a
flickering screen), and the contrast in quality between those old tapes and the
